The head office of Merida Industry Co., Ltd (MIC) is located in Taiwan, the world leading country for production of high quality technical products and the number 1 country for top quality bike manufacturing. The technical conversion of ideas from concept to prototype and the production takes place here. Frame-production and the bike-assembling process take place in huge halls with precisely controlled welding-robots, modern assembly-lines and state of the art environmentally-friendly paint-plants. In the peak season up to 72.000 bikes per month roll off the assembly line. Thanks to the Toyota Production System TPS, Merida can manage the logistics and organisation for such a large amount of top-quality bikes without trouble. Frequent quality controlling at every stage provides a continuous level of production quality. |

| From Spitzbergen to New Zealand. In a little over 25 years, Merida has established a worldwide MERIDA distribution network. The 40 MERIDA-distributors sell Merida bikes in 70 countries around the planet. But we think globally and act locally all distributors have close contact with the MERIDA Head-Quarter, where national demands are collected and where very differing requests for the development of new products are defined. For this reason we can implement the requirements of the different market demands individually and capably. |
